Pac-West Reaches Buildout Milestone

Pac-West Telecomm Inc., a wholesale provider of next-generation and traditional voice communications services, on Thursday announced the additions of Alabama, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina and South Carolina to its nationwide infrastructure services, surpassing 50 percent completion of its national expansion.

Pac-West’s expansion will allow service providers to offer communications services to 150 million-plus end users in the second half of 2006. The company said its expansion is an effort to bridge traditional circuit-switched and next-generation IP-based services.

The infrastructure is expected to serve VoIP providers, wireless broadband providers, ISPs, carriers and other next-generation service providers. Pac-West's Dial-Access and Managed Modem products will be available in new markets immediately, and will be followed by its communication-enabling products as the expansion progresses.

In addition to its West Coast coverage including Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, Pac-West has expanded into Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Idaho, New Jersey, Maryland, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Utah and Washington D.C.
