PalmettoNet Uses Meriton’s Optical Transport Platform

PalmettoNet, a carrier’s carrier in the Carolinas, has extended its high-speed network with the Meriton Networks 6400 Optical Transport Platform (OTP).

PalmettoNet chose the 6400 OTP to deliver a range of point-to-point services throughout the Carolinas, including traditional SONET connectivity and Ethernet solutions.

PalmettoNet said the 6400 OTP also allows it to add/drop any data service to any node and wavelength within its optical network.
