XO Enhances XOptions Flex

XO Communications has enhanced XOptions Flex, its VoIP services bundle for medium businesses, to work with TDM PBXs.

Sold through the carrier’s indirect and direct channels, XOptions Flex now offers a hybrid solution so companies can use the bundle with existing PBXs connected to a primary rate interface or digital trunk.

XOptions Flex combines local and long-distance calling, and dedicated Internet access and Web hosting for a flat monthly price. It also offers dynamic bandwidth allocation, voice VPN and an online feature management tool.

“These enhancements move XOptions Flex up-market to businesses with larger offices that are looking to cost-effectively migrate to voice over IP,” said Charlie Cary, vice president of marketing at XO Communications. “With more than 3,000 customers, XOptions Flex has quickly gained traction among the small business segment, and we expect that it will gain ground among larger businesses that want to IP-enable their existing telephone systems.”
