06/01/2005

Ensim Corp., a provider of management software for enterprise hosted services, has acquired Telegea Inc., a provider of management software for hosted VoIP services.

The terms of the agreement, such as whether Ensim acquired all intellectual property rights for Telegea software, were not revealed. A company spokesperson said the deal already has been finalized.

The acquisition broadens Ensim’s reach in management software for hosted services. The company already provides software that manages services, such as hosted Microsoft Inc. Exchange and Sharepoint software, Web hosting, other messaging software, collaboration services and hosted database services.

Ensim products include the Ensim Unify and Ensim Pro lines that enable service providers to offer hosted Web sites, e-mail, collaboration, e-commerce and database services.

Telegea offered the VoIP Operating System, which was management software to automate deployment and delivery of hosted VoIP services for enterprise, residential and wholesale VoIP services.

The combined company will operate under the Ensim brand, with headquarters in Sunnyvale, Calif., and regional offices in Waltham, Mass., and Pune, India. According to a company statement, Sandip Gupta will continue as president and CEO, and Steven Domenikos, CEO of TeleGea, will act as a strategic business advisor to the company.
