PAETEC Uses Lucent for VoIP

PAETEC Communications Inc. is rolling out Lucent Technologies’ VoIP services to its business and wholesale customers.

Lucent will provide the engineering, installation and network integration support so PAETEC can offer IP and TDM services. The carrier is deploying Lucent’s Network Controller and a number of its network gateways in more than 20 cities.

"Lucent's solution will enable us to offer VoIP and hosted IP telephony services to our customers on a single network, offering them new applications and giving us new revenue opportunities, greater efficiency, and cost savings," says Bob Moore, senior vice president of IT and next-generation switching for PAETEC.

PAETEC also plans to use Lucent’s Market Advantage Program, which helps customers and partners with marketing.
