Cinergy Uses Hostopia’s Managed Services

Hostopia is providing its managed Web and e-mail hosting services to Cinergy Communications Company, a provider with a footprint in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee.

Cinergy says the deal will allow it to customize hosting, e-commerce and e-mail services that include spam filtration and virus protection.

"We have built a very successful hosting business to complement our wide range of voice and data services,” says Pat Heck, CTO for Cinergy Communications. “However, we can see the hosting market evolving towards a new ASP model of applications delivery. Hostopia allows us to offer dozens of new online hosted applications that truly allow the small and medium enterprise to build their online presence. It's what the market demands in hosting today."

Cinergy Communications will provide end-user technical support, helped by Hostopia’s turnkey customer query tools, diagnostic applications and more.
