Accudata Releases ABL for Collect Call Billing

Accudata Technologies this week introduced its Assured Billing Lookup (ABL) service for the collect calling portion of the telecom industry. Accudata says many carriers lose out on revenue from calls that cannot be connected, so ABL hunts down billing information to find the lost money.

"In most collect-call scenarios, that correct information is out there somewhere, it's just a matter of figuring out where, and the ABL service is able to find it," says Accudata CEO M. Gregory Smith. "What that means for carriers is an increase in connected calls and an increase in revenue."

The ABL service helps carriers to connect up to 50 percent more collect calls, Accudata says, because it finds billing information through databases. By having Accudata search more databases, carriers improve the chances of being paid for the collect call. The company says this results in improved customer service and increased revenue.
