SNET DG Deploys New Tekelec Eagle STPs in California

09/23/2004

SNET Diversified Group has deployed a new mated pair of Tekelec Eagle STPs in Los Angeles and Sherman Oaks, Calif. These new STPs will continuously be monitored by our industry leading Intelligent Network Operation Center (INOC) utilizing Tekelec’s integrated Sentinel system. The new California STPs are interconnected with the existing SNET DG STPs in Chicago and Detroit and three STP pairs in Connecticut.

The new SS7 nodes will provide economical SS7 interconnections to carriers based on the West coast and will increase redundancy in the SNET DG’s National SS7 network. This network provides ubiquitous SS7 services for SNET DG’s wireline and wireless customers.

SNET DG is a provider of SS7 intelligent network and database services to wireless, wireline and next-generation communications providers. SNET DG’s national signaling network provides gateway routing of call setup and wireless roaming messages, wireless calling name delivery, and LIDB/CNAM, number portability, and toll-free database services. SNET DG’s solutions include data gateway services for IP-based providers, subscriber information record storage, SOA Service Bureau, Enhanced Operator Services, and FGD terminations throughout the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, specializing in the Northeast.
