Alvarion to Outfit Altitude’s French Nationwide Network

Altitude Telecom plans to deploy Alvarion Ltd.'s BreezeMAX to build a nationwide network in France using 3.5GHz spectrum.

Based on WiMAX Forum profiles, the BreezeMAX will enable Altitude to offer broadband connectivity to small and medium enterprises as well large businesses for both LAN and VoIP services. The 3.5 GHz network will complement and upgrade the existing wireless telecommunications infrastructure, including an increased customer base and enhanced services.

Initially Altitude Telecom’s BreezeMAX network will be rolled out in four counties, the first to be Vendee (Vendée département) with plans for additional counties within a year.

With more than 2 million units deployed in 130 countries, Alvarion provides wireless broadband systems to carriers, ISPs and private network operators.
