BellSouth Sells DIRECTV Services

BellSouth has digital satellite-delivered television service from DIRECTV Inc. to its portfolio, making the RBOC the only company within its service area to provide local, long distance, wireless, Internet and now digital video services in a bundled offering.

Residential customers can now bundle the DIRECTV TOTAL CHOICE with Local Channels package, which delivers more than 125 channels, with BellSouth's communications services at packaged discounted savings through BellSouth Answers. Depending on BellSouth Answers bundle eligibility, customers can save up to an additional $10 off their bundle of services when they add DIRECTV service to their BellSouth Answers package. In addition, customers can add DIRECTV service to additional television sets in their home for $4.99 a month per TV.
