CopperCom Offers New Softswitch Release, Features

CopperCom now offers Release 2.2 software for its CSX 1100 and CSX 2100 softswitch systems. This release includes business features, and IP residential and business services through DSL, cable, fiber and wireless access interfaces. It also has enhanced OSS services.

The business features in the CSX allow service providers to offer revenue-generating services in both TDM and IP environments.

Residential IP services allow incumbents and CLECs to offer VoIP services that compete through quality and cost with IXC and ASP "Internet" voice solutions.

In addition, the CSX distributed design enables cost effective out-of-region capabilities by centralizing softswitch control and deploying remotely managed IP gateways.

And CopperCom's suite of voice services can be integrated into bundled triple play solutions under the CSX's Web-based service management capability.
