Verizon Delivers ONE-BILL in California

10/02/2003

Verizon yesterday began offering an integrated bill for multiple services to California residential customers. These subscribers can receive a single statement for a variety of services including local, regional, long-distance and wireless calling, DSL and other features.

The service is already available in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, Texas, Hawaii, North Carolina, South

Carolina, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia also have

the ONE-BILL option. Eventually, Verizon plans to make the single bill available to its

customers nationwide.

ONE-BILL customer must have both Verizon local service and Verizon Wireless accounts in the same name and in good standing. This option follows the Verizon Freedom plan, introduced in June, which offers unlimited local, toll, long-distance and calling features such as Home Voice Mail for $59.95.

ONE-BILL customers who have registered at Verizon's Web site, can

view all their Verizon charges -- including Verizon Wireless -- online, and

can pay their ONE-BILL electronically via the Web. The site also allows customers to purchase new services, place and track repair orders and change phone service when moving from one home to another, regardless of locations, within Verizon territory.
