Yipes Co-founder Joins Procket Networks

Ron Young, former co-founder of bankrupt Ethernet provider Yipes Communications Inc., has joined Procket Networks Inc. as chief marketing officer. At Yipes, where he served as chief marketing officer, Young helped pioneer the introduction of metro Ethernet services to businesses. He left Yipes after the privately held company filed a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition in March. Prior to co-founding Yipes in 1999 Young was vice president of marketing and sales at Nokia High Speed Access Products (formerly Diamond Lane Communications). He also held marketing positions for AT&T Corp., Pacific Bell, US West, Electronic Arts, CVS and Levi’s. -generation infrastructure that will reliably enhance customer profitability.” Founded in 1999 Procket Networks is developing IP networking technology for service providers and large enterprises. Former Yipes spokesman Jonathan Marshall also has joined Procket Networks as senior director of corporate communications.
