ConnectSouth Add Colo Services

ConnectSouth Communications Inc. (www.connectsouth.com) is now offering collocation services, in addition to high-speed connectivity and Internet business tools.

“By ConnectSouth addition collocation to our customer offerings, we allow small to medium-sized businesses to have access to state-of-the-art Internet ready facilities, that were once only reserved for very large companies,” says Jeff Mucci, CEO of ConnectSouth.

ConnectSouth’s dedicated collocation facilities feature cabinets for storage, regulated and redundant power, multihomed bandwidth and network access, including 24x7 network monitoring services. Among the other services offered by ConnectSouth are high-speed Internet access, VPNs, firewalls, web hosting, e-commerce, and online back-up and storage.

The collocation site in Austin is currently operational. ConnectSouth plans to add sites in Charlotte, N.C., and New Orleans during the first half of 2001.
