Yahoo! ’Widget Channel’ Coming to TV Near You

Yahoo! (YHOO) and Intel (INTC) want you to get more out of your TV.

The two companies are working to create Web channels that run alongside your favorite TV shows.

The so-called “Widget Channel” would let you watch and interact with the widgets, which are small applications that complement TV shows. They look like picture-in-picture TV, but they allow you to e-mail, chat with friends and more.
