Judge to Hear TV Networks’ Carriage Complaints
10/13/2008
The battle over what stations MSOs carry (and don’t carry) soon will go before a judge. The FCC has decided that several TV networks should get their complaints heard in a courtroom. Among the plaintiffs are NFL Network, the Mid Atlantic Sports Network and Wealth TV. The stations claim they are being discriminated against by carriers such as Time Warner, Comcast, Cox Communications and Bright House. The administrative law judge must return a decision by mid-December.
