Mobile Video in a Race to Zero?
08/29/2008
Everyone knows video usage — especially mobile video usage — is on the rise. Bigger pipes? Check. Optimized devices? Yup. More content offerings? Mais oui. And now, it looks like it’ll be nice and cheap, too. Leap Wireless is offering the low, low price of five bucks per month for unlimited mobile video offerings. That’s throwing down the gauntlet to mobile video services from MobiTV and MediaFLO, favored by the Tier1s. Full-length live TV it is not. Snackable time-wasting just might not be worth as much.
